Lonely without me

In the middle of the 10-day period for the Geestelijke Gezondheid and a few days before the Open-Mind Days in Sint-Alexius, we invite, together with PZ Sint-Alexius, De Raster and the Lokale Bestuur Grimbergen Ben Segers and Manu Huylebroeck. 'Eenzaam zonder mij' is a poignant musical performance in which actor Ben Segers shares his personal story. It is a journey that begins with years of denial and hiding his feelings, from the outside world and especially from himself, but which ends with the courageous step towards self-acceptance. This is a story about falling and getting back up, about vulnerability turning into strength, and about the healing role of music, poetry, and connection. Together with musician Manu Huylebroeck, Ben brings an intimate and moving performance full of testimonies, music, and inspired moments. They tell, play, and sing - together, well surrounded. Because right there, in that shared humanity, the real recovery began. I looked in the mirror for my cheerful look before I left home. Over Te Gek!? With Selah Sue as godmother and Guy Swinnen as godfather, Te Gek!? does everything in its power to make mental health as widely discussable as possible. With the music theater tour 'Eenzaam zonder mij', Te Gek!? focuses, just like during the six previous editions of the Open-Mind tour, on the general public through performances within the mental health sector. Deze Open-Mind tour is part of the Te Gek!?-year campaign of 2026: the second Open-Mind Days in Flanders, where mental health care organizations open their doors wide to everyone in the weekend of October 10 and 11, 2026.
