HEROES - 50 YEARS TOUR\n\nIn 2027 the album 'Heroes' will be 50 years old and in this context Starman – The Dutch David Bowie Tribute comes with a crushing, new show: HEROES – 50 YEARS TOUR\n\n“Good-bye, David Bowie. You are now among #Heroes. Thank you for helping to bring down the #wall.”\n\nThis tweet was sent into the world by the German Ministry of Buitenlandse Zaken the day after David Bowie passed away, by now already more than ten years ago. The album 'Heroes', recorded in 1977, was inspired by the Koude Oorlog themes of fear and isolation that hung over the city of Berlin at the time. The title song tells the story of two lovers who meet at the Wall and desperately try to find a way to be together. Although this may have had a more personal meaning for Bowie, it became a symbol of the hopeless separation felt by Berliners, and ultimately a globally embraced anthem for freedom.\n\nFrontman Rias Baarda: “Heroes is the most powerful and iconic song by Bowie in which everything comes together, the ultimate superlative. I often lift off a bit when I sing it and the discharge in the audience is always mighty to see. For me, consistently one of the highlights of the performance!”\n\nStarman – The Dutch David Bowie Tribute has by now more than earned its spurs with performances in the Ziggodome, Gelredome, successful theater and club tours, and shared the stage with former musicians of David Bowie in the AFAS Live in 2024. With this new show, Starman raises the hero status of Bowie to an arguably even higher level. Expect a dazzling compilation of David's biggest hits, from Space Oddity to Let's Dance, from Life On Mars to of course the wonderful Heroes, brought with all the intensity and emotional dedication that one has come to expect from Starman.
