Regisseur Mascha Schilinski tells an ambitious story that spans a century and brings four generations together. She dives deep into the world of her characters and shows how trauma shapes their lives across generations. ‘Sound of Falling’ stood out in Cannes and was awarded the jury prize there. This film was the German entry for the Oscars.
