Classical at the Abbey: Sofie Vanden Eynde & Imago Mundi

Dowland in a new light The lutenist Sofie Vanden Eynde wishes to make early music resonate within today's society. To this end, she throws, with Imago Mundi, a bridge between different cultures and artistic disciplines. The mezzo-soprano Eugénie De Mey and the Armenian duduk player Vardan Hovanissian accompany her in a deeply human show, "Tears into light", a story of hope and comfort. The laments of the Renaissance mingle, in an intimate meditation, with poetry, contemporary music, and improvisations on the duduk.
