Lampje lives with her father in a lighthouse. He is a lighthouse keeper, has only one leg, and drinks. Lampje helps him keep the lighthouse light burning every night. On a stormy night, things go wrong. Lampje is placed, far away from her father, in the Zwarte Huis. A castle owned by a wealthy sea captain. No one wants to work there because a monster lives there. Maar Lampje does not believe in monsters. Theater FroeFroe and Johnny MUS were completely blown away by ‘Lampje’, written by Annet Schaap. The youth book is an adventure novel with an insane heroine and is full of wonderful characters that inspire every image maker.
