In Babel goes Kommil Foo in search of the beauty of the misunderstanding, the humor in confusion and the tragedy of the unsaid. Over the years, the duo developed a unique style in which emotion, hilarity, music and absurd visual language come together. Raf and Mich Walschaerts remain brothers on stage who relate to each other while speaking, playing and singing, but a simple conversation can quickly derail completely. “This” becomes “that”, and before you know it you are in a wonderful chaos of misunderstandings. Raf and Mich Walschaerts are two Flemish brothers and cabaret artists, known as Kommil Foo. Since the 80s they have been making unique theater performances in which humor, music and emotion merge. Their style is characterized by sharp lyrics, subtle slapstick and poetic songs, often with a melancholic undertone. With performances like Plank, Spaak, Breken, Oogst and Grind they managed to touch and surprise their audience time and again. Besides cabaret, they are also active as musicians and theater makers. Their shows are often about human relationships, misunderstandings and the tragedy of the everyday.
