Book presentation 'Waterdenkers' by Rob De Winter

Deinzenaar Rob De Winter presents his latest book: Waterdenkers (Water Thinkers). A short story about 'It' that takes place in a strange, distant world. Rob De Winter (1947) has been passionate about the magic of stories since his youth. As a young man, he dreamed of becoming a writer. Since the beginning of this millennium, he has picked up his old dream again. He wrote two biographical novels and created poetic texts to accompany drawings. In 2021, he released a collection of poems and short stories: Maren uit een vergeten land . In 2025, his first novel followed: Niets zal nog hetzelfde zijn . At the beginning of 2026, his short story 'Waterdenkers' was published: " It has no name. Why would it? According to Itself, It is only in its environment. There is no other being like It nearby to name or to be named. It has no gender and It does not reproduce like most animals or plants. It has no sex in any form whatsoever. You could even say that It cannot multiply except by coincidence. This is the story of It that takes place in a strange, distant world. But perhaps the beings that inhabit this world do show similarities to Earthlings...' During the book presentation, Rob De Winter will be interviewed by Magali Deplanter.
