Hathor Consort ft. Romina Lischka, The Art of Fugue

Het Hathor Consort was founded in 2012 by Romina Lischka. Under her artistic direction, the consort dedicates itself to music from the Renaissance and Baroque, in which a string ensemble of viols is central. Hathor Consort connects this refined chamber music repertoire of European origin with old and current music from other continents, and with contemporary classical music and electronics. Romina Lischka bridges the boundaries between cultures and genres by forging its own artistic language in which musical traditions from around the world cross-pollinate. ‘Die Kunst der Fuge’ by Johann Sebastian Bach escapes all rigid ideas about time, space, art, and creation and is central to this concert.
