Something stops. Something breaks. If something is broken, you can't play with it anymore. Unless with the pieces. But those are sometimes too sharp and can hurt. So that's not allowed again. Many things break. Lamps. Faucets. Pants. Winter coats. People too. People also break. People even break so much that they die. And then they have to go away. Not in the regular trash can, of course, like the lamps and the faucets and the winter coats. But they do go away. Never to come back. And that, that is really very, very sad. That they never come back? That is impossible to understand. And unfair. And rotten. And shitty and fuck and shit. Sorry for the dirty words. You're not allowed to say that out loud, of course. But that's how it feels. With ‘Finale’, compagnie barbarie brings a performance about finiteness and temporality. And, to name the big word: about death. After the performance ‘Première’ where everything is still about to begin, we are now talking about the moment when everything is done. What is an end? When does something definitive end? What is that actually: dying? ‘Finale’ will be an intimate performance with many pieces and fragments that cannot be glued back together. A performance that makes you realize that dying means you never come back. And that you are allowed to feel everything you feel while doing so. Shit yes. Fuck.
