Late summer walk in Doeveren

If you take the E403 motorway from Kortrijk to Bruges, you drive just past Torhout “in the middle of a forest”. Here is the Doeveren nature reserve. Or how a motorway turns one old historical forest into two forests (and Urbanus knew that a long time ago too). Both to the left and right of the motorway, you will find a unique piece of nature: forest, meadows, heath, … We are going to explore this rich nature gem with a local guide. Nature, culture, history, everything is covered! Time to get to know this magnificent, unknown piece of nature. Meeting point: at 2:15 PM (until around 5:00 PM) entrance West-Doeveren, Sijslostraat Oostkamp, just over the bridge of the E403 if you drive from Ruddervoorde to Loppem, take the dead-end street directly across from house number 192 Participation fee: 3 euros for NP members.
