Big party in the Woeste Wolvenwoud. Meneer Beer is having a birthday and that must be celebrated. All friends are present: Eddy de Vos, Staf de Uil, the Wilde Zwijnen, and of course also the Woeste Wolven. Except … Mr. Polar Bear, the dearest cousin of Meneer Beer. Strange, isn't it, that he is the one not coming by today. Meneer Beer then decides to set out himself. In search of Mr. Polar Bear! Who dares to come along? In DE TERUGKEER (The Return), Meneer Beer picks up the thread, exactly where it is so nice to be: on a Beestig Bosfestijn with all Woeste Wolven there. Together with many old acquaintances but also new faces, we build a musical, poetic party again for all little daredevils and big bear friends. A top cast of actors, puppeteers, and musicians spoils eyes and ears like never before. It had been in the air for years, but now it is finally here … the return of Meneer Beer! In 2027, it is exactly 10 years since we “let go” of our Meneer Beer to the general public. After 5 very successful years, 2 performances, and almost 200 theater concerts, we lulled Meneer Beer into a long winter sleep. But we still felt the great need for the positive feel-good vibes that this whole project radiated. Conveying a hopeful message of diversity and ecological awareness through an accessible, positive story and rock-solid, layered, and sing-along songs remains more relevant and necessary than ever.
