Cula Mzansi consists of some of the best vocal composers and arrangers in South Africa. They hop from genre to genre while their voices guide you through history and culture, through the landscapes to the soul of their country.
Cula means ‘song’, Mzansi refers to South Africa. In the decomposition of the name lies the essence. Cula Mzansi stood on stage together with Sioen during his successful tour ‘Sioen Plays Graceland’.
Stella Khumalo also worked in her musical career with Caiphus, Letta, Mirriam, Stef Bos, Simply Red, and Paul Simon. She also discovered Vuyo Tshuma and Vus'umuzi Nhlapo, the start of a 15-year collaboration.
Vuyo and Vus'umuzi were part of the six-piece Africapella that toured Flanders in the autumn of 2010 and 2011.
