It explores how the advancing hospitality industry is redrawing the landscape and identity of the region. De Rif is shown as a place-in-transit: between borders, between languages – Dutch, French, Spanish, Darija, Tamazight – and between memory and loss. The performance explores the space between what was lost, what threatens to disappear, and what is being reclaimed. Through the lens of tourism, migration, and language, Hannah asks pressing questions about home, origin, and appropriation. Who has the right to land that belongs to no one? What does it mean to belong somewhere if the place itself is constantly changing?
