Carles Lama & Sofia Cabruja - Piano recital

Steinway Artists Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja are internationally acclaimed for their stunning technique, passion, refined timbre, and timeless elegance. New Yorkse critics did not call them ‘the kings of piano four hands’ for nothing. Since 1987, the duo has shone on the world's most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall (New York), Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), Sala Verdi (Milan), Glinka Philharmonic Hall (St. Petersburg), and Teatro Solís (Montevideo). Both perfected their training after the Conservatorium van Barcelona at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and the Hartt School of Music (Universiteit van Hartford, US). Their artistic vision was strongly shaped by two influential mentors: the Russian pianist Nina Svetlanova and the Brazilian pianist Luiz de Moura Castro. The duo couples virtuosity with warm social engagement. In 2001, they received a UNICEF honorary award from Hare Koninklijke Hoogheid Margarita de Borbón for their humanitarian efforts.
