Gitarist Julien Tassin is more driven than ever to seek exciting musical partners and broaden his spectrum of influences. He now adds his new trio with saxophonist Erwin Vann and drummer Jean-Marc Butty, best known for his work with PJ Harvey, to his impressive series of collaborations. The result is music that draws influences from folk, jazz, ambient, and contemporary classical music, while simultaneously developing unique, intimate characteristics. It is not a traditional jazz project, which is also reflected in the influence of producer John Parish, an English musician and producer who has worked with many alternative rock artists such as PJ Harvey and Eels.
