Roots Festival

Already three editions that the walls of Evere are transforming into true open-air spaces for artistic expression. This year again, Racines Festival invites you to discover the richness and diversity of graffiti and street art through a program that will bring together nearly forty artists from Belgium, Morocco, Senegal, France, and Australia. Conceived by graffiti artist and illustrator HMI (Fouad Hachmi), Racines Festival was born in September 2022 thanks to a happy collaboration between Big Up asbl, the L’Entrela’ Cultural Centre and the Municipality of Evere. Since its creation, the festival has been celebrating the encounter between artists, residents, and public space, making Everois walls the supports for unique works of high artistic quality. For this 3rd edition, the festival team returns to you with a selection of artists each more talented than the last, coming from varied horizons and cultures. During the festival, the public will also be able to enjoy a Creators' Market highlighting the know-how and creativity of local artisans and artists. Of course, graffiti initiations and guided tours will complete the program, offering everyone the opportunity to discover behind the scenes of the various frescoes created in the municipality. A map will also allow you to find all the creation sites. This 3rd edition intends to keep its common thread: paying tribute to the roots, without forgetting the multiple ramifications and expressions of the Graffiti & Street Art disciplines. Finally, a concert will close this new edition of Racines Festival in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
