Walk in the Valley of the Zwarte Beek, surroundings of Koersels Kapelleke (15 km)

The walk (15 km) consists of an 8-shaped loop that starts at the Koersels Kapelleke , returns to this chapel halfway through the walk, to arrive back at our starting point at the end of the second loop. The loop in the morning runs through peatland and takes us along the banks of the Zwarte Beek, partly within the military domain, where the stream still meanders in an unspoiled way. In the afternoon, we cross the forest area with its numerous fens around Koersels Kapelleke . Small hills of dunes provide even more variation in the area. Program 10:00 AM: gather at P3 Bosparking Leemstraat, 3582 Beringen-Koersel (Plus Code: 38J9+6G Beringen) 10:15 AM: visit to the Koersels Kapelleke , after which the walk starts 12:30 – 1:30 PM: lunch break at Oma’s ijsje in the Wielewaalstraat 1 . Use of brought picnic is allowed. Consumption is mandatory. Snacks are also available. 3:30 PM: end of the walk
