Stijn Vandebril & Hedwig 'Peep' Peetermans - From Coal to soul - The charcoal sessions II

The Charcoal Sessions II Charcoal artist and musician Stijn Vandebril returns to the stage with ‘From Coal to Soul’, together with Hedwig Peep Peetermans, singer-songwriter pur sang. Dark pubs and back rooms have let Peep’s voice ripen: sometimes whispering, sometimes gray and mesmerizing, but always with that one goal: to grab the listener by the scruff of the neck. During the performance, Vandebril’s projected charcoal drawings form the decor. Lines appear, fade, and grow into figures and landscapes that embrace the music. At the same time, Vandebril weaves his own musical contribution – on guitar and double bass – with Peep’s lived-in voice, causing image and sound to flow into each other and creating an intimate, layered atmosphere. ‘From Coal to Soul’ does not choose between concert, performance, or visual art, but lets these worlds merge into one breathing narrative. A total experience in which you not only watch or listen, but above all feel.
