Saturday, August 8: Opening act - Staronovo Staronovo brings Bulgarian folk music to the present with a powerful live set. Traditional melodies and irregular rhythms are reinvented with bass, guitar, percussion, and electronics into an organic, raw, but danceable mix between folklore, club, and alternative music. Main program - Zulu (Cape Verde) Zulu comes from the Cape Verdean island Boa Vista where tradition and innovation meet. This young artist only released her debut album last year, music full of passion, with the beautiful rhythms of her country and touches of jazz. Concerts followed quickly, fans too, and after a musical journey to Rio de Janeiro, she sets her sights on Europe. Expect melancholic Cape Verdean melodies, immersive rhythms, and a strong woman on stage. Saturday, August 15: Opening act - Crash Deluxe Five friends, one groove. Crash Deluxe serves a mix of instrumental jazzy and funky tunes with a touch of reggae. Expect tight rhythms, warm bass lines, and soulful melodies with the occasional surprising guest vocalist who completes the party. Main program - Tasuta N-Imal (Morocco) This tough band takes you on a musical journey to the heart of the Amazigh culture, straight from Morocco. Tasuta N-Imal (the generation of the future in Tamazight) brings soulful melodies and hypnotic rhythms of the Imazighen (Berbers) to life. Their concerts are a party! Songs that start softly acoustically go faster and faster until everyone goes totally wild. It is a unique blend of desert blues, enchanting folk music, and traditional rhythms that will immediately sweep you away. Saturday, August 22: Opening act - Drive By Heroes Drive By Heroes is an Antwerp rock band that serves blues, pop, and rock 'n' roll with a broad smile. Expect screaming guitars, loud drums, catchy choruses, and buckets of energy. Live, they ensure sweaty dancing legs and carefree rock fun, for young and old, straight from Antwerp. Main program - Domingo y Ecos de Habana (Cuba) Domingo Felipe Castro Crespo. is a pianist, conductor, and producer with over 40 years of experience from Pinar del Rio. With his band, he brings the best of Cuba to Antwerp. A colorful mix of sunny Afro-Cuban rhythms and salsa. You imagine yourself for a moment in La Habana, that magical city that breathes music and warmth. Wherever they perform, with their rousing beats they know how to get feet off the floor everywhere. Let’s salsa! Saturday, August 29: Opening act - The Valerie Solanas After a period of silence, the Antwerp band The Valerie Solanas is back with new songs. They fearlessly embrace the dark edge between madness and imagination, with sultry indie pop full of jazz and folk influences, haunting riffs, satirical lyrics, and surreal live visuals. Main program - Kanazoe Orkestra (Burkina Faso/France) With their latest album, "Balabeatz", the Kanazoé Orkestra serves a unique musical trip in which the mystical griot culture of West Africa mixes with new beats from Nigeria of Zuid-Africa, and where virtuosity and trance come together. Seydou Diabaté, alias Kanazoé, comes from a long line of griots. Ten years old, he became an orphan and ended up in Bobo Dioulasso. There, under the care of his uncle, he became a master balafon player. A festive concert with grooves to which it is impossible to stand still.
