How do you experience a work of art when looking is not the focus? During this Introductory Tour, listening, feeling, and imagining together are central. The exhibition Statuettes. Small sculpture at home lends itself particularly well to a sensory discovery. Due to their small size, rich materials, and intimate presence in daily life, these statues invite an attentive encounter. Together with a specialized museum guide, visitors discover the artworks through clear descriptions, tactile experiences, and conversations. Not fleetingly, but step by step: form, posture, material, texture, weight, and atmosphere come to life in words and touch. What can you expect? Extensive verbal descriptions The guide describes each artwork carefully and vividly: from the general silhouette to the smallest details. Tactile experience Where possible, selected artworks or replicas can be carefully touched. This makes form, texture, and volume tangible. Quiet pace The tour follows the rhythm of the group, with sufficient time to listen, feel, and ask questions. Space for dialogue and imagination Visitors are invited to share impressions, memories, and associations. Context and stories The guide tells how these small sculptures used to have a place in domestic interiors and why they were meaningful to their owners. Paintings and works on paper in the exhibition also help bring those stories to life. What is central? Sensory and tactile art experience Relying on language, touch, and imagination Respect for everyone's personal perception Experiencing art as an encounter and experience The tour is accompanied by a trained museum guide with attention to accessibility and individual needs.
