Theater by the Sea

Theater Aan Zee is an 11-day performing arts festival at numerous unique locations in Ostend with a focus on theater, music, art, literature, and young, beginning artists. From Wednesday, July 29, to Saturday, August 8, the performing arts festival will land in Ostend again. This year, TAZ#2026 embraces the theme 'Message in a Bottle’ to reflect on human rights as well as the intuitive, untamed consciousness of the sea. The beating heart of the festival is once again the Oostendse Leopoldpark this year. In Leopoldpark, there is WonderWaai again. A free space for children and their families at TAZ, where anything is possible, or at least a lot. Let yourself be amazed in the Wonderwaai with a free offer of circus, acrobatics, family theater, workshops, and a children's cafe. The full TAZ program will be online on 10/06/2026.
