PERFORMANCE / MIME
When is something enough? When is something meaningful? And does that actually matter?
In “What am I actually saying now?”, beginning theater maker Daan Van Gorp dives into a playful and candid investigation into our urge for meaning. In a world where everything has to touch and be about something, he wonders if something can also just be beautiful, strange, or messy.
With physical performance, text, and an abundance of stuff, he builds a performance in the making live. In doing so, he lets himself be guided by input from others and the moment itself. What emerges is a search for support, or perhaps precisely for letting go of it. Every performance thus gets its own form. An invitation to watch, to feel, and not have to understand everything.
