Many Antwerp residents enjoy reading a good novel in English; we notice this very well at Permeke: our large collection of English-language literature is very popular! That is why we also read together in English. Preparing at home is not necessary. A facilitator reads the text and we discuss it together with the group. These sessions are suitable for native English speakers and advanced speakers of English as a foreign language. Biweekly on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. Not during school holidays. Shared Reading in English at Permeke Library complements our longstanding Samenlezen programme in Dutch. Shared Reading in English invites you to indulge in literary texts and poetry and to join in an informal discussion afterwards. No need to prepare in advance. The sessions are open to all native speakers and advanced speakers of English as a foreign language (adults). Biweekly on Wednesdays from 10 to 12, except during school holidays.
