For forty years, they have been putting people with a mental disability in the spotlight and creating professional performances that celebrate the power of diversity and authenticity – a milestone to pause and reflect on! The theater colleagues of Compagnie Lodewijk/Louis also have more than a reason to celebrate thanks to their twenty years of idiosyncratic, absurd-comedic theater. As luck would have it, the piece they are sinking their teeth into together, 'Carmen', Bizet's hit opera, is itself ready for the bubbles with its 150th anniversary. To make the party complete, Aline Goffin, Jason Dousselaere and Dijf Sanders put the original music through their own, typical musical mangle and brew a soundtrack live that rocks and soothes and moves and amazes. Celebrate along with 'Carmen' which pays an ode to non-conformism and unbridled passion. Experience how the freedom of a person, who takes their own desire as a guideline and does not let themselves be put into boxes, can inspire us all.
