Daan - Crooner

For 30 years, Daan has been maneuvering effortlessly between pop noire, indie rock, electro, country, beats, and ballads. In this intimate theater tour, he returns to the essence: his songs, their stories, and their unique atmosphere. The often melancholic and at the same time humorous lyrics are full of visual metaphors (Daan is, after all, a graphic designer) and a (storm and) urge to translate this into almost baroque musical paintings. Together with regular companion Isolde Lasoen (his musical muse for 25 years) and cello virtuoso Jean-François Assy (musician with, among others, Alain Bashung, William Sheller, and Yann Tiersen), he creates a warm, layered sound world.
