Your grandmother's potato knife. Your brother's pocket knife. The kitchen knife that moved with you from another country. For 'SCHERP', Ief Gilis and Steven Wouters collect stories behind knives. You bring a knife, Steven listens and notes, while Ief makes it sharp again. This creates an intimate encounter around craft, memory, and what people keep. The most beautiful stories form the basis for a new performance that will be visible from 2027. About the company De Wenkbrauwerij makes projects in which stories, heritage, craft, and encounter are central. Ief Gilis and Steven Wouters previously realized, among other things, 'Postino' and 'Taterwater', heritage projects in which personal stories, local history, and community building strengthen each other.
