Five years ago, Léa contracted COVID. While time passes, the disease, however, settles in: the artist is diagnosed with long COVID. Meanwhile, our natural and water resources are dwindling, and our forests are burning. Camille Louis's text explores inflammation as an epiphenomenon. From traumatic memory to the Soignes forest dried up by water stress, to the conditions of social ignition in the Lyon suburbs, we are plunged into an intertwining of images, sounds, and stories that reveal what consumes the clean, social, and terrestrial bodies. The latency of the mist resonates with brain fog, stifled political memories, and the moments surrounding the ignition. Léa Drouet's staging materializes in the organic scenography of the touche—touche collective and the soundscapes of Laurent S. Gérard (Èlg). Three performers carry the voice of a "multiplied I", to explore the collective dimension of ills and attempts at healing. Léa Drouet's new creation, Rodéo, proposes to move away from realism and individual narrative while assuming our affects. Long COVID is a nagging evil that translates a certain porosity to the world, of which the affected body is the mirror.
