Not in a factory, but in the arts sector. Together with Femke Gyselinck, Maya Mertens (Vieze Meisje), Jeroen van Der Ven, and Lawrence Mcguire (Hogobogobogo), Ferre Marnef goes in search of what work means within the flexible labor model of today's freelancer. The performance dynamites the shiny facades of the ‘Entrepreneur of the self’ to fathom its own form of existence. In this performance, Ferre Marnef crosses sound and image. It is both a concert and a theatrical performance, but secretly wants to be neither. Ferre Marnef is a graphic musical theater maker. Ferre Marnef is a theatrical designing musician. For ten years, Ferre worked within the collective Desnor together with Louis Janssens on performances such as Ideale Plaats, #BOS , Galileo, and Toverberg. As an actor, he joined tibaldus, including for the complete Gombrowicz trilogy. In addition, he worked in various roles with companies and artists such as Ontroerend Goed, buren, Ilan Manouach, and Miet Warlop. Musically, he is currently focusing on his experimental band Sergeant, whose debut was released by STROOM and whose second album, Symbols, will be released in 2026.
