From Van Borgerhout to Barcelona, from tarantella to samba: Rumbaristas lets boundaries blur in an infectious cocktail of southern grooves and world influences. What started as a spontaneous jam session grew into a band that effortlessly sets festivals at home and abroad on fire.
Around the charismatic Spanish singer Willy Fuego, an international group of musicians with roots in, among others, Think of One and Orchestre International du Vetex, gathers. Together, they create a quirky sound in which rumba catalana, Balkan influences, gnawa, Latin, and even a touch of hip-hop come together.
With songs like Mala Hierba, Canhaveral, and Bruciamo la Candela, the band effortlessly switches between exuberant danceability and warm melancholy. The sound of Rumbaristas breathes street party, adventure, and musical freedom at the same time.
Rumbaristas provides a sultry concert evening full of rhythm, energy, and irresistible world music that makes it impossible to sit still.
