Entreegebouw Kasteel van Gaasbeek, Gaasbeek (Lennik)

On Saturday, September 5, we head to the Kasteel van Gaasbeek for a fun family activity. On the program is a guided tour and a workshop. During the tour, you will discover the Kasteel van Gaasbeek. We go on the road with a guide and with a unique card game that will stimulate all your interests and senses. The guide takes us along the various rooms of the castle, such as the kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom, … You don't just have to listen, because the card game contains a lot of cool assignments that you can do. After the tour, we take some time to have lunch. You bring your own lunch. There is the possibility to buy drinks in Caffè Carletto, but this is not mandatory. We provide water, coffee, tea. After lunch, we discover the ‘great wonder cabinet’. This is a cabinet full of large and small drawers. Each drawer reveals a new story, about the life of the former castle residents and about the objects from the precious collection. We find letters, objects, and small assignments that invite you to tell, to craft, and much more. The workshop is an ideal addition to the tour and the visit to the castle. During the workshop, you also make a small coat of arms, in the form of a button, that you can take home. The visit will be a beautiful moment of connection with the children, but also with like-minded parents. With this activity, we focus on families with children with autism between 3 and 7 years old. You do not need an official diagnosis to be able to participate in the activities.
