Tanya Donelly and Chris Brokaw do something you don't immediately see coming. Two icons from the American indie and alternative scene dive into medieval music and give it a surprisingly fresh touch. Tanya Donelly you might know as co-founder of Throwing Muses and The Breeders, and Chris Brokaw as guitarist/singer of the legendary Come, Thurston Moore, and The Lemonheads.
On their EP The Undone is Done Again (2026) you hear how old madrigals get a new life. Both artists have decades of experience and have left their mark on the history of alternative and indie rock. Donelly’s unmistakable voice and songwriting have inspired generations, while Brokaw, with his genre-crossing guitar playing, has pushed the boundaries of rock, folk, and experimental music. Where they bridge the tradition of the Renaissance and contemporary songwriting, you will also get a nod here and there to their own musical history.
What makes the concert even more unique is that it is in the Kunsthal and amplified as little as possible. All the more reason to come.
