Work could not be done at the Boelwerf in Temse because the metal of the ships was too hot. In January, a combination of spring tide, intense rain, and a heavy storm completely flooded Ruisbroek. For the first time that year, Sesame Street was broadcast on Flemish TV and Mike Verdrengh presented the Rad Der Fortuin on the BRT. And no, the mobile phone did not exist yet. Meet René and Josée Bosmans-Vandewaerde. They have two daughters, Marina and Melanie. Marina is courting Johnny Ooms, Melanie Math Dreesen. Both future sons-in-law are two completely different types. In the first scene, Math and Johnny come to meet mom and dad for the first time. René is especially suspicious of Math.
