De Kortrijkse post-metal band Amenra has ruled over Belgium and beyond for years with shows that are more than just a concert. Tijdens Boomtown 2013, frontman Colin H. Van Eeckhout dragged us into a storm of fragility, while the Church of Ra erected a wall of musical craftsmanship that left us speechless. Their most recent album De Doorn expresses Amenra’s most sincere expression to date, entirely in Flemish and inspired by the fire rituals and sculptures that the band has performed in Belgium over the past few years.
