Early bird price 17 euros A lying concert around music and spoken word in the atmospheric setting of the former church of Donk, during the ten days of mental health. Ode to the darkness is the first project of IJLLAND, a collective around writer Lies Verswijvel and musician and composer Patricia Vanneste (ex-Balthazar) that wants to highlight socially vulnerable themes in an accessible way by means of word and music. As a listener, while you lie with closed eyes, you are immersed in a journey in the dark and through the darkness. The little light comes from handmade lamps that visual artist and nurse Sharon Van Cleuvenberg made from shredded paper files of people with a mental vulnerability. After the performance you will be treated to a warming cup of tea. Bring your own mat, duvet or pillow. Places are limited.
