Amor Fati - Jan Jaap van der Wal

Ten years ago, fate brought Jan Jaap van der Wal to Flanders. In Amor Fati, which means “love for fate”, he celebrates that turn with his most extensive performance in Flanders to date. Van der Wal embraces life here in all its facets: where it is fantastic to live, but also where it often goes fantastically wrong, a fate that he embraces with pleasure. As he himself puts it so beautifully: “We are going down anyway, so let's do it with a big smile.” Jan Jaap van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-evening shows in Flanders since 2015, including the acclaimed election conference Geen Stem. On television, he made a splash as a jury member in De Slimste Mens to the World and as a presenter of De Ideale Wereld and Jan Jaap Op Zondag.
