Visit to the water company

Visit to the Water Company – Tuesday, June 16 at 2 PM – Haanhofweg, Haasrode During a tour of this water production center, the guide will show you how we turn groundwater into drinking water. You will receive, among other things, an extensive explanation of how the 3 pellet reactors we use during the softening process work. The guide will also tell you more about what we do with the lime pellets that are created during this softening process and how they focus on sustainability and ecology at De Watergroep. You will also learn more about the history and activities of De Watergroep and discover the many ecological and economic benefits of tap water. This water production center is an active industrial site that is not adapted for visitors with reduced mobility. During the tour, many stairs must be climbed. There is no elevator available. Some guidelines from the Water Company itself : We register every visitor individually on the day of the tour. This is due to current safety regulations in critical sectors to which De Watergroep belongs (food sector). We only register your name, first name, and contact details. We process this data in accordance with GDPR guidelines and do not store it longer than necessary. More information on this via DPO@dewatergroep.be. During the entire tour, you must wear a high-visibility vest (which you will receive on-site) and follow the guide's instructions. Eating, drinking, and carrying handbags or backpacks during the tour is not allowed. These will be left in the reception area. Wear sturdy, closed shoes. Sandals, shoes with heels, or flip-flops are not allowed . On Tue, June 16, we will meet on-site at 1:50 PM. Try to carpool, there is limited parking.
