Het Hallé Youth Orchestra was founded in 2002 and consists of young instrumentalists from 13 to 19 years old who are attracted to orchestral music and have a passion for playing in a real large orchestra, thus seizing the opportunity to perform in a large symphonic concert, led by a true professional.
Since its foundation, the Hallé Youth Orkest has participated in numerous significant events including sharing the stage with the members of Hallé and sitting side by side with them in a performance, a three-year project “Stage Players”, a performance in the Royal Opera House in London, a performance in the Manchester International Festival for Victoria Wood’s comedy musical, ‘That day we sang’ in the Manchester Opera House and participating in the collaboration of Hallé with the Kinshasa Symphony Orchestra and Choir.
