Discover the bunkers and remains of the Spoorwegbatterij Lissewege

Curious about what those bunkers in the Patentestraat once were? You'll find out on Bunker Day, Sunday, June 7, 2026. Specialized guides from the association Atlantikwall Belgium, volunteers and staff from Stad Brugge, and the Vlaamse Landmaatschappij will help you understand the remnants in the landscape of an extensive defense post of the Duitse Kustartillerie: the Spoorwegbatterij Lissewege.  What is visible today is only a fraction of what once stood there. Using maps and plans, old photos, and aerial photographs, the guides will reconstruct the story of the site.  PLEASE NOTE:  This is an activity with a guide , by reservation only. Free visits are not possible! This tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility . Shoes suitable for agricultural terrain are recommended. There is no parking in the Patentestraat itself. Please come by bike, or park on the designated grass field at the intersection with the Canadezenstraat.
