All summer every Friday evening a free double concert in the garden of Ensemble.
Jante • 7 PM
Lively indie/alt-pop with a jazz-infused layer
JANTE (pronounced in French) is the solo project of the Belgian multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer Jente Vanderrusten. Hailing from Pajottenland, Vanderrusten breaks the traditional frontman image by dominating the stage from behind the drum kit. He combines powerful lead vocals with a driving rhythmic foundation, creating an energetic and musically engaging live experience. On stage, Jente is assisted by Lisa Baert, who is fundamental in the delivery of the songs at JANTE.
Musically, JANTE operates at the lively intersection of indie pop and jazz. The project combines catchy, cheerful pop sounds with sophisticated chord progressions and rich vocal harmonies. Inspired by legendary musical storytellers like Sting, Phil Collins, and Billy Joel, JANTE delivers radio-friendly tracks without compromising on artistic and technical depth.
MOARSE • 8 PM
Rock with an edge
What started as an indie pop, singer-songwriter project evolved into a full-fledged band. The result? Quirky sound, with room for sensitive layers and solid outbursts.
"Exhilarating, danceable indie pop with an irresistible melody that is propelled by the wonderful voice of Joanne Van Bastelaere." - Luminous Dash
Bij In case of announced rain, the concert will take place under the canopy of the courtyard or inside. The concerts are free, but a voluntary contribution in the hat for the artists is welcome.
