Arbeid Adelt! + Park umbrella

Since 1981, Marcel Vanthilt has been walking his unique anarcho-dadaist-electro-super-tronica musical path with Arbeid Adelt!. Since the cult debut ‘Jonge Helden’ (1983), he has been assisted in changing lineups by Luc Van Acker, Dani Klein, Willy Willy and Andrew 'Chi' Claes, while he himself remained the constant driving force behind the lyrics and music. After a break from the mid-nineties until about 2011, Arbeid Adelt! continued their idiosyncratic path, which brings them to the stage of the Hnita Jazz Club in 2026 with a new record. On that new record, Vanthilt joins forces with the equally idiosyncratic darkwave duo Parkaparaplu, consisting of actress and singer Emma Rotsaert, lead actress in ‘How to kill your Sister’, and Geert Vanbever, who made a name for himself with, among others, Wizards Of Ooze, Rudy Trouvé Septet and Dead Man Ray. The unique madness and steaming energy of two bands were bundled into one album with powerful titles like ‘Taliban Cocktail Jurk”, ‘Swastika Elastika’ or ‘Knipmes Freejazz’. The new album ‘AA!PKPP’ was released in April by Starman Records.
