From Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, Ath transforms into a true festival of sounds and rhythms! Come and discover varied musical styles in unusual places such as heritage sites, magnificent gardens, and in the city center. La Fête of Music in Ath highlights musical projects, stemming from contemporary music and contemporary approaches, mixing emerging and established artists. The programming favors curiosity, the diversity of aesthetics, and encounters with less expected proposals, while remaining accessible to a wide audience. An organization by the City of Ath and its CPAS, Babeliens, the Maison Culturelle of Ath, the House of Giants, the Académie de Musique, Dance and Speech Arts, and the Merchants' Association, as part of the Music Festival of the Fédération Wallonie-Brussels. Friday, June 19 Site Burbant Rue du Gouvernement. From 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM - Pneuma immersive installation. This immersive installation by Julien Poidevin will be accessible to all curious people who wish to discover how the Tour Burbant is used, not as a place, but as a true instrument. It invites a sensitive experience between listening, space, and perception, developed from organ pipes. 6:30 PM - Opening concert by the Academy. 7:00 PM - Bugari Express. This quartet (violin, accordion, clarinet, and double bass) mixes folk, Romani, and klezmer music. Inspired by Eastern European traditions, the group weaves a rich and blended musical universe, inviting travel. 7:45 PM - Les Chorales Zik Zaak and Rainbow. French and international variety music resonates in the eardrums of this small troupe that has been singing in a choir for nearly 13 years with a varied repertoire. 8:15 PM - Bugari Express. The quartet returns to ignite the stage to close this first evening. Rue de Gand to Metro Club 6:00 PM - DJ Set. Two rooms, two atmospheres! A friendly and festive outdoor stage, and an immersive stage in the heart of the Metro. Discover DJs with different styles, from generalist to electro. Saturday, June 20 Site Burbant Rue du Gouvernement Ateliers from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM The Babeliens association offers participatory workshops to experience as a family, to explore sound in a playful way: From 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM - Awakening to sound texture. From 6 months to 3 years old, accompanied by their parents. A moment out of time, where the senses of young and old awaken to the rhythm of sounds and vibrations. They explore, listen, invent, until surprise and wonder are born in the hollow of every note. From 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM - Graphic and sound score. What if a drawing could make music? From shapes, lines, and dots, each drawing becomes a score. A fun and creative way to play with sounds by drawing. A playful moment to listen differently, imagine soundscapes, and create a little visual symphony together! From 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM - Instrument creation - From 7 years old. Create a musical instrument from recycled materials. Explore an artistic technique and listen to the result in music. From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Pneuma immersive installation. Dans la Tour Burbant, Julien Poidevin signs an immersive installation that transforms the heritage site into a true instrument and invites a sensitive experience between listening, space, and perception, developed from organ pipes. Concerts The Babeliens association offers you an evening of eclectic concerts, driven by an increase in intensity until a festive finale. From 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM - Pierrot Delor Project. Explorer percussionist, Pierrot Delor plays with rhythms, textures, and sonorities to create an immersive universe, made of sensitive melodies and sound images. From 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM - La Band’Ath of the Academy. A brass band bringing together students from different disciplines, who occupy the public space with energy and collective spirit. From 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM - Les Azacuanes. Brussels orchestra with Mariachi Pop Rock accents, mixing Latin American folk culture and European instruments. Warm and blended music carried by a quartet: cello, violin, double bass, and guitar. From 7:45 PM to 9:00 PM - Miss Betty. A vibrant and generous set, between groove, musical gems, and contagious energy, for a dancing and intensely lively experience. From 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM - Why the Eye. Headlining, this masked quartet offers "prehistoric techno" on DIY instruments. A raw, hypnotic, and organic performance, on the border of ritual. From 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM - Miss Betty. Back on the dancefloor with a second set just as incandescent, between joyful trance and collective letting go. From 11:00 PM to 11:45 PM - Night Safari. To close the evening, this duo explores a hypnotic universe, where electronics and ancient instruments meet, in an immersive and bewitching sound drift. Inspired by sound art and nocturnal drifts, the project mixes abstraction and improvisation. Night Safari is an auditory wandering where landmarks are blurred, guided by pulsation and instinct. Garden of the CPAS nursing home Les Primevères - Rue Maria Thomée No. 3. 2:00 PM - Chorale Insert’Ath. The Insert’Ath choir is an initiative of the Ath CPAS, bringing together beneficiaries of the social integration service for regular performances, notably during the carnival, Easter, the Ducasse of Ath, and end-of-year celebrations. It aims to promote social inclusion and folklore, also performing in nursing homes. 4:00 PM - Concert de Jazz by the students of the Académie Improvisations bold, syncopated rhythms, contagious swing. The Jazz workshops take you into a warm and free atmosphere, where each note tells a story. A rhythmic and friendly break, carried by the communicative energy of the young musicians. Grand Place 6:00 PM - La Band’Ath of the Academy. A festive and itinerant performance, mixing brass, woodwinds, and percussion in a resolutely popular atmosphere. An explosive cocktail! Current medleys, contagious energy! 7:00 PM - Juste Goldman. Julie and her group reinterpret the great classics of Jean-Jacques Goldman with freshness and sensitivity. Her powerful female voice brings new life to iconic tracks, touching both long-time fans and new generations. Accompanied by talented musicians, she transforms each song into a moment of emotion and sharing, faithful to the original spirit while infusing her own energy. 8:30 PM - Musical group. Garden of the House of Géants Au intersection of Rue Rigault and the Promenade de la Culture. 2:30 PM - Chorale Rencontre. For its 60th anniversary, the choir offers a collective and intergenerational work, celebrating civic values. 5:00 PM - Royale Fanfare Saint-Ursmer of Ormeignies. This brass band will make the garden vibrate to the rhythm of music and conviviality. Present during festivals and key moments of local life, it brings together passionate musicians and audiences of all ages. A true symbol of tradition, sharing, and cultural dynamism. 6:00 PM - Royale Union of the Fanfares Sainte-Cécile de Moulbaix-Ligne. Founded in 1909, this brass band has been making hearts beat and cobblestones vibrate for over a century. With about a hundred passionate musicians, it enlivens processions, ducasses, and concerts with energy and good humor. An essential figure of the Ducasse of Ath, it perpetuates a living, joyful musical tradition resolutely turned towards sharing. Garden of Arts and Letters (Library) Between Rue de Pintamont and Boulevard du Château. 2:00 PM - Piano and Chamber Music concerts by the Academy. An opening with finesse in a green setting, conducive to listening and nuance. From string ensembles with delicate harmonies to inspired pianists. A dive into the timeless elegance of masterpieces.
