BY TRAIN TO THE SEA

By train to Ostend. Unlike previous years, we are leaving this year already in the morning. Reason for this: we want to catch a glimpse of the weekly market that takes place every Thursday morning. Program: at 8:40 AM we gather at NMBS Station Ingelmunster. Because most travel at a discount rate, everyone buys their own train ticket separately, if necessary with assistance from our board members. Therefore, be sure to be present at the station on time. Once arrived in Ostend, everyone is free to explore the coast - literally and figuratively - to 'market', to shop in the shopping streets, or of course to have a drink on a terrace. At noon, you can look for a snack, lunch, or whatever yourself. Just before 5 PM, we travel back - again with a direct connection without having to transfer - to our homeland. Back in Ingelmunster, at 6 PM we sit down at Marnick in El Patio for a cold platter with meat, fish, and potatoes. The participation price (15 euros) is therefore only for dinner. In other words, the train ticket and the hospitality visits at the coast are not included.
