With their virtuoso guitar playing and energetic live shows, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band is often called “the best front-porch blues band in the world.” Led by Reverend Peyton - generally considered one of the best contemporary fingerpickers - the band brings a soulful mix of roots and country blues. His playing and style are deeply rooted in the music that inspired him from a young age. Together with his wife, washboard virtuoso Washboard Breezy Peyton, and driven by the solid, rhythmic foundation of Jacob “The Snakob” Powell, the band provides immersive performances where clapping, stomping, and singing along come naturally. Their recent album Honeysuckle was produced and recorded by Reverend Peyton himself and mixed by six-time Grammy winner Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White). The album features guest contributions from, among others, gospel group The McCrary Sisters on “Looking for a Manger”, harmonica player Billy Branch on “Nell (Prison Cell Blues)” by Blind Lemon Jefferson on “Freeborn Man”, and Colton Crawford van The Dead South on banjo in “The Good Die Young”. About Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has performed in 38 countries and 48 American states. The band appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine, Living Blues, and Elmore, graced the cover of Vintage Guitar Magazine, reached number 1 on the Billboard, iTunes, and SiriusXM Blues Charts charts, and was nominated three times for a Blues Music Award by the Blues Foundation in Memphis. Volgens The Indianapolis Star ranks Reverend Peyton among the 25 greatest Hoosier musicians of all time.
