LUDWIG, mainly Beethoven - Flemish Chamber Philharmonic & Stefaan Degand
Thu, 13 May 2027 · 20:00
Stadsschouwburg, Sint-Niklaas
€5–27
Acteur Stefaan Degand and conductor Pascale Van Os join forces once again. Together with young theater maker Loïs Heirman and a live orchestra, they dissect not only the music but also the idea of the genius through gesture and spoken language. Using Beethoven's skull, Degand brings the composer to life. From allegro to finale, sound and silence become tangible. This sensory performance invites you to listen differently: not just with the ear, but with the entire body.
Stefaan Degand was trained at Studio Herman Teirlinck and worked with numerous leading companies in theater, film, and television. He moves effortlessly between classical and experimental work and, in addition to being an actor, is also the author of the bestseller Dag liefje, met Mila gaat het goed en ik klungel lekker verder.
Pascale Van Os is a conductor, trained at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen, active with international orchestras, and praised for her artistic precision and imagination.
Loïs Heirman is a young director with international experience, trained in Ghent and Karlsruhe, with work at, among others, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and De Munt. Her work is curious, playful, and boundary-breaking.
