Concert by Larpin

Natuurpunt Markvallei hosts Larpin on Friday, November 27, for a special concert evening in Bezoekerscentrum Vallei of the Merkske, De Klapekster. Larpin consists of Hans and Frits Jochems. Hans is certainly no stranger to the association, and together with his brother, he forms this musical duo. During this evening, Hans and Frits also present their book Affectie. In Affectie they investigate the intimate connection between the twelve western musical notes and the six universal basic emotions. Where emotions in daily life often follow each other at lightning speed, this concert offers the chance to discover in all tranquility how closely emotions and musical notes are related to each other. That results in a harmony model that helps people experience music more intensely. At the same time, it shows that everyone is naturally capable of feeling musical notes and also understanding their own emotions better. During the concert, all this is explained in a clear way based on Larpin's own compositions, performed by Frits and Hans Jochems with double bass, guitar, and vocals.
