Carillon concert with Marc Van Eyck + guided tour

Wals and Franse Chanson Marc Van Eyck (B) is the designer of the Peace Carillon in the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk van Aarschot commissioned by the great inspirer H.E. Huub Gerits supported by Flor Trappers and many enthusiasts and sponsors from Aarschot and far beyond. Through the carillon, he brought the city council and the people of the church together in a beautiful project that was solemnly inaugurated in 2018. He made the decoration on the bells and plays them as the permanent carillonneur. From 1981 he studied at the Royal Beiaardschool Jef Denyn in Mechelen with Jo Haazen and obtained his final diploma there in 2001 with distinction. He designed a VEMA system for carillon, making the instrument very powerful in adjustment possibilities in a simple way. After 25 years, the system has already been applied in Zottegem, Oudenaarde, Rouen, Aarschot, and soon in Leuven Sint-Geertrui.
