Weak Castle

Two knights defend as best they can a fortified castle that turns out to be very fragile. From adventure to adventure, we discover the extent of their cowardice. In this epic, the cartoonish duo is the antithesis of the heroes whose great deeds have been recounted to us in so many tales and legends. It is in a friable universe that Amber Kemp and Antoine Minne set the scene for their adventures. Here nothing flashy, we see two almost grotesque characters, fleeing in the face of danger. Humor has an important dimension in this creation which implements timeless violence such as wars, while always attaching itself to a comic and unifying aspect. No one speaks except by onomatopoeia because speaking is an act of ultimate courage… yet here, no one is brave. Château Faible (The miserable epic) is a play carried by two detestable but endearing characters, a subtly political work in that it has the intelligence to treat with a certain lightness, a profound question, with current overtones: where does our cowardice come from? Through laughter and all the devices of the silent genre, Amber Kemp and Antoine Minne twist the figures of power with disarming irreverence.
