Bike tour: Along silence and memory

This tour takes you to some special final resting places. Landscape and garden architect Andy Malengier has been advocating for beautiful cemeteries that leave room for silence and reflection for over 25 years. His first major design was the Park Cemetery in his former hometown of Wervik. We take the time to get to know this green memorial oasis. After that, we cycle towards Ypres. Along the way, we stop at the Zillebeke cemetery, at the foot of the Saint Catherine Church. In In Ieper itself, we spend time at the small but fine Ramparts Cemetery, the British military cemetery on the ramparts. Furthermore, we get to know the historical part of the municipal cemetery. We also stop at funerary beauty on the return trip via Zonnebeke and Zandvoorde.
