"Slow Motion Scene" is an ode to slowness, stripping down, and imperfection. The process of creating this album and its show spanned a fairly long period and was done without haste, with long stretches of writing and creation. The raw and minimalist side is expressed in sound as well as in visuals, guided by the idea that error, clumsiness, and fragility are all forces that nourish authenticity, spontaneity, and bring us closer to one another. In this world in search of perfection where we hide under filters while pointing the finger at every flaw, the need to be there, without artifice, is the true urgency.
To present his new solo album, Axel Gilain unveils his tracks, voice and guitar, punctuated by sounds, thoughts, and snippets of interviews triggered on a cassette player, an imperfect and nostalgic object.
