At the end of the summer, bat activity peaks. The young have flown out and work is being done on the next generation. In the fort of Walem, many bats gather during this period to mate and explore their winter residence. This has provided beautiful observations for several years.
We start this Night of the Bat with a short walk through the fort. Afterwards, there is a presentation outside about the life of bats. We conclude again with a short walk, now in the darkness, armed with a flashlight and bat detector.
